Users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE with the model number SM-N9005 can have the latest Lollipop experience on their devices thanks to a new CyanogenMod 12.1 (CM12.1) Nightly ROM. The custom firmware is based on stock Android user interface with additional features and options.

The new CM12.1 Nightly custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE is not an official firmware release by the South Korean firm. It will require users to root their handsets before flashing the custom firmware. In addition, the handset is also required to have custom recovery such as ClockworkMod to install the ROM.

Here are some key aspects to remember before installing the CM12.1 Nightly ROM on the Galaxy Note 3 LTE:

  •     USB drivers for the Galaxy Note 3 must be installed on the computer
  •     USB debugging must be enabled on the phone
